The Strategic Development Manager will play a key role in building and executing NYPACE’s fundraising strategy in partnership with the Executive Director. This position will manage corporate sponsorships, support institutional giving, build individual donor stewardship systems, and coordinate fundraising campaigns.

Corporate Sponsorship & Partnerships
Manage corporate sponsorship pipeline for NYPACE’s annual fundraiser event and annual Small Business Exchange conference
Identify and cultivate new corporate partners aligned with NYPACE’s mission
Draft sponsorship proposals, decks, and partnership opportunities
Coordinate outreach meetings and follow-up with Executive Director
Manage sponsor stewardship and renewal strategy
Track sponsorship commitments and revenue goals
Individual Donor Engagement
Build and manage individual donor stewardship program
Execute annual individual giving campaigns
Coordinate matching gift campaigns with corporate volunteer advisors
Develop creative fundraising initiatives to grow individual giving
Segment donors and create targeted communications
Support executive and associate board members engagement in fundraising
Institutional & Foundation Giving
Coordinate grant calendar and deadlines
Work with grant writing consultant to manage pipeline
Research new institutional and foundation funding opportunities
Track proposal submissions, reporting requirements, and outcomes
Maintain funder relationship tracking system
Development Operations & Systems
Maintain donor database and development tracking systems
Build and manage development calendar
Track fundraising metrics and revenue projections
Prepare development reports for Executive Director and Board
Support development communications and donor materials
Strategic Development Support
Support Executive Director with major donor cultivation
Help develop mid to long-term fundraising strategy
Convert corporate volunteer engagement into funding opportunities
Support fundraising tied to NYPACE programming and events
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $90,000 – $95,000 (opportunity for increase)
Performance bonus: Up to 10% based on agreed-upon fundraising goals

Requirements
Required:
At least 8 years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience
Demonstrated ability to cultivate, steward, and convert corporate and individual prospects into donors and long-term partners
Demonstrated experience supporting or managing event fundraising
Proven track record in successfully raising funds for nonprofits organizations
Experience with corporate sponsorships or partnerships
Experience supporting individual donor campaigns
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management abilities
Familiarity with donor CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
Self-starter comfortable working in a growing organization
Preferred, not required:
Ability to manage multiple fundraising streams simultaneously
Experience with foundations and institutional fundraising
Experience working with consultants or grant writers
Interest in entrepreneurship, economic development, or small business support
The Development Manager’s success will be measured by their ability to:
Cultivate new funder opportunities that expand NYPACE’s current pool of funders within the first 6 to 12 months
Develop new fundraising campaigns that attract existing and new funders to support programs, capacity building, and programmatic events within the first 6 to 12 months
Create communication plans for existing individual donors that generate continued donor engagement and support
Help to secure 5 to 10% in funding within the first 12 months from individual donors, corporate sponsors, institutional foundations, fundraising events, or other revenue-generating initiatives
Build sustainable donor stewardship systems and strengthen long-term funder relationships
